When L. Frank Baum would winter in California from 1904 to 1910 he would often stay at this rented house in Coronado. He also visited the nearby Hotel del Coronado, the largest resort at that time. Here in this house Baum wrote three Oz books: Dorothy And The Wizard Of Oz (1908), The Road To Oz (1909), and The Emerald City Of Oz (1910).
